I have an 09 T800 with a C15 giving some emissions issues, and Kenworth hasn't been a help at all.
The truck has had frequent regens for a bit, then started limiting speed last week with the warnings, Particulate filter outlet temp high and Soot load percent.
I don't have an ET scanner, so I had the driver take it to KW, get the DPF cleaned, and have the codes cleared. When we picked it up on Wednesday, it had a new sensor box but the driver told me after it got back that it was still limiting.
Friday we took it back to KW, and once there it shut down in the lot with the same codes. The tech claims he cleared them and they came right back, but it's been sitting there since Friday and needs to be on the road.
I checked the datastream with a Mac scanner, and the only odd thing I found was the intercooler temp was 400* on a dead cold truck.
Is this a common issue on these engines, and is there a known fix for it? I need to get this thing back on the road.

Go to a cat house, don't play that kw game. I had an '08 which bug me for a bit, after a Cat visit it never bugged again.

Sounds like you have a high resistance to the intake temp sensor causing it to derate, or a bad temp sensor.
-
Unfortunately, the company will only let me take it to a place we have an account, which is not Cat.
So might this be caused by the high intercooler temp reading? -
you say intercooler temp, do you mean air intake temp? if so yes it will cause the loss of power.!
-
But will that cause a shutdown? Or could this be a cascade thing where the bad info leads the computer to think other things are wrong?
It's also not throwing a code for that, I just noticed it in the datastream. -
it may not throw a code, it just thinks that it is too hot causing the derate and possible shut down depending on the settings in CAT ET!!

I checked on it today and it's done. The story I got was that the inhibit switch was on, but I called bs on that since I tried to run a manual regen cycle. Reading between the lines, the so-called tech who did the DPF service didn't do a forced regen, not completing the service. Gotta love the incompetance prevalent in this area.
