Correct. Claim they were out of Reman ones so I got a brand new one for same price.

Check fuel filters and air filters then add 1/2 gal of 15/40 to each tank

I am not putting you down but, you have to think about the IRS tank dippers. If they sample your fuel, and its not as close to clear as they like, could be fine time. Be careful what you dump in your tanks.

Cetane you have a good point. We worked on a DT466 that was using oil found it to be injector o rings putting oil in the fuel tanks. Bout a week after they picked it up they were fined by the tank dippers. The guy that works for me that actually done the work had to take a day off work, with service manual in hand to TESTIFY under oath it could and did happen. The work order wasn't enough evidence according to prosecutor.

    Cetane+ Thanks this.

Does adding 15/40 do something to help?

I have a similar problem, linked to the check engine light, the light pops on seemingly at random, when ever it feels like messin with my head lol. when the light comes on, I lose turbo psi, both pulling and jaking. normally my gauge tells me 45 psi give or take some on average when pulling, with the engine light on it drops to roughly 30-35 psi. not sure about when jaking down hills but I can hear the turbos kicking in and can feel the lack of power significantly. any ideas? also sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere.

I have the acert with very similar issues to yours bud.

    1) Have you pulled the engine codes yet?

    2) does the light come one and stay on or just come on when the issue is happening and then go off again?

3). Is there any times this happens more often? Ie only when pulling hills, only when loaded, or is it a mix?

i find the more detail you give in your question, the more likely you are to get helpful responses, as many on here will be happy to donate their time to try to figure it out, but a lot won't bother if it seems like the guy having the problem isn't willing to put forth the effort to write a real and detailed description in his post. I'm not giving crap, it's just what I learned and wished someone had told me in the beginning.

1-haven't pulled codes yet, company has been a little dismissive about this so far.
2-the light when it comes on .... it stays on and seems to flash once every few seconds, about 10 seconds then flash .... and it goes out after awhile, usualy a few minutes ... sometimes not till I turn the key off and restart the engine altho this does not always work.
3-as for when it happens? there seems to be no real situation that's more than others ... comes on when pulling hills at higher as well as lower engine temps, even when jaking downhills. tho I do believe the warmer the temp is the less often the problem happens.

it really confuses me cause I will pull hills just fine for hundreds of miles then all of a sudden for a while it happens .... then suddenly stops.
