It is none of his business whether someone runs their truck or not. He does not know if there are medical reasons or if there is a fridge on board.

He should just mind his own business.

After 32 years of driving and having owned trucks with BUILT IN, GOOD refrigerators it will NOT run the batteries down in the amount of time it takes to go in, sign for your fuel, grab a hamburger at Wendy's, go pee and get back to the truck. Yeah after about 5 hours with weak batteries you might have a problem!

As to the "medical problem" of a driver, ok, I'll give you that one, but in this age of stupid fuel prices and idling tickets when the temps are good, why idle?

And actually it IS his and our business if they are idling especially next to us. WE have an opion and nothing you or anyone else can do or say to can keep us from that option! Like mine about Kabars choice of red and tiny letters! Ya gotta love America!

Sorry, but if you do not want to listen to them idle, move your truck. If a reefer moves in next to me and I do not want to listen to it, my only choice is to move. If a bullwagon pulls in, and I do not want to smell it, I have to move.

He needs to get a life and deal with it.

I do not idle by choice, I pay for the fuel.

I also am entitled to an opinion, and nothing you or anyone else can do or say will keep me from that option.

Whatever you hear about fines in California - The ultimate fine is more than doubled due to "penalty enhancements" for any violation.

    Ah gee, Jack.
Now you went and spoiled the surprise. :biggrin_25525:

Better warn 'em about those red-light cameras set up at
choice intersections. Collect one of those tickets and be
ready to cough up pretty close to $500. :biggrin_2551:

The powers that be claim it's all in the interest of safety.
I say it's pretty safe not to believe them. :biggrin_25512:

I can't believe some of the guys on here are complaining they can't sleep because a truck next to them is idling.

    WTF! Man Up.

C.A.R.B. won't be satisfied until no one is allowed to internally combust dead dinosaurs, smoke tobacco, create and expel flatulence, bar-b-que, burn wood to heat and/or cook, or live comfortably.

I'm thinkin' they dream about startin' a stampede of folks headin' for the borders, .......
    of Arizona, Nevada, and Oregon.
    Including industries.
Maybe a few headin' south across that border, if that revolvin' door goes both ways these daze.

Oh well, what do we expect in a State with a Governator who's either a Liberalican or a Republiberal who still calls the State
    Colliefoerneia.
Maybe Arnold will resume his on-screen acting career once he's out of office.
His live performances leave a lot to be desired. Kinda like a soap-opera --- only one take.
If he don't get it right in the beginning ----
The residents of the State get it in the end.
    Bendovah peepole ouf Colliefoerneia.

    :director2:
    :director:~~~~~~~ QUIET ON THE SET!!
    Acting Governator, -----
    Scene ONE, ------- take 252.
Come-on Arnie, get it right this time, ......... will ya?
    Try to remember your lines.
If that ain't possible, ....... just pretend your wife told you what to say.
You always seem to get that right.

    :director2:
    :director:~~~~~~~ Lights, Camera, ........ A C T I O N !

YaH, OK, ven eye vos talkin' wid Maria de odder day, ve vos tinkin'
eat iz time faw de PressEdent to giff Colliefoerneia a stimuluss with moure
tax-payars munie to trow downna hole 'till I get outta da governator's office. I'em too tired ouf playin' de Governator game annemoure.

my husband got a ticket for idiling that was $300. when we tried to fight it by explaining to the board that he was doing his inspection and sliding the tandems and needed the truck running for the air to work. he was finishing his log when the officer gave him a ticket for 8 minutes. what was amazing was the officer that gave him the ticket was smoking. now we got a letter today that says if we dont pay within 30 days if he comes back to california and gets stopped they will impound his truck. he has had it with california and all their laws, and will not be going back. If every company would stick together and refuse to deliver in california until they quit with all there so called laws maybe it would change.
