Maybe you do maybe you don't know, but Swift still has a few cabover Argosys on the road. I think they still have a few cabover flatbed truck and trailers stashed away in mothballs.

Drove cabovers the first 7 years I trucked. While it is nice to be nostalgic about them I would never want to drive one again full time. 1. You do not step into a COE, you climb in! 2. Not much room to stretch your legs out. 3. They were extremely loud because you sat right over the engine. 4. Sleepers were generally small with no room for a fridge. 5. You were first to the scene of any rear end collision happening in front of you!

Man I rode a many of mile in a cab over when I was a kid. That's all the stick haulers in MS ran. Them boys would run 3 or 4 flips to Chicago a week. Be lucky to get 2 in now with these elogs. They was like the bull haulers back then. All decked out with chicken lights and chrome. And them trucks would run. I remember my dad talking about shims and stingers to make em run. I still haven't exactly figured out what that was. I was only 7 or 8 at the time but man it sure sounded cool. Lol. Maybe some of the old timers can finally tell what that is. Lol

The ol cummins motors you changed a button and shimmed the pump to raise the rail pressure. They came factory with fuel dead heading into the front head usually and supplied to the rear head. You tee that line outta the pump and remove the plugs and let it flow into and out of both sides. Makes a large difference. They come from a place in time when most had pride in their ride even if they didn't own it. That pride also included a job well done. Excuses didn't get your family fed, they still don't I guess it's become more popular to use them.

I'm not saying that the young crowd sucks and the old crowd rocked. I'm saying there are more drivers than ever and the bad apples is easier to spot
