Hey truckerman, is that your sharp lookin' CL? Many drivers took the air bags off the cab, as they were a problem. I remember seeing several CL's running down the road, leaning one way or the other. I heard, when working properly, that was the nicest riding truck for it's time.

Ive also heard it with a skunk, a fox, and a coyote lol. This guy had the best stories, and with the way he told them, you could (and we did) listen to him for hours. Even almost 20 years later I still think of him

Hi Tenn., joking, I'm sure. Cabovers did indeed have a/c, ( didn't have to worry about the heat, sitting on top of the motor) the cab won't tip, unless you don't lock the mechanism and brake heavily, never saw it, I've known some runnin' cabovers that did 3 digits, and that's one of the pluses of a CO, you can see right in front of you. Matter of fact, I almost ran over a kid on a bike, and if I didn't have a CO, I might not have seen her.

I drove an '01 Argosy straight truck. I've owned a 9670 straight truck. Two different beasts. The Argosy was a dream of a drive. Easy shifting, smooth as silk. Love the joystick. The Int'l was... umm... tolerable. Actually, I liked it. That was a fun ride while it lasted. Too much trouble finding parts for it tho.

If I could get a 110" sleepercab Argosy, I would. If I went back to driving straights, I'd definitely look into it. Having a 30' box, compared to 24' for everyone else, was money in the bank. I'm sure all of that's changed now.

Ain't that the truth. Don't forget that gaping air hole where the shifter comes through. Those boots were always torn.
