Yes, one on the outer most side on each side and three grouped in the middle. Even dually pickups are required by law to have them.
Stacie Thanks this. -
Ok thanks i guess ill be ordering my new visor with lites in it since my truck has them in the visor thanks again!
-
Yeah it has to do with the width of the vehicle. I don't remember the exact number but 84" comes to mind. I know that even my Ford Raptor F-150 with the wider fenders puts it just over the magic number and has the three light grouping in the grill with an amber led on the front corners. Same with the back, has to have to outer single with a three grouping of reds. Trucks get a pass on the rear of the bobtail but trailers are required to have them.Stacie Thanks this.

Gotcha This truck would look so much better without them! I can dream cant i lol
-
Are you sure the rear of the trailer has to have the outer single lights? My company only has the three center ones on their trailers.
-
Your trailers don't have a tail light on the outside corners?? That qualifys as the outer single.not4hire Thanks this.

Vehicles over 80 inches wide (except truck tractors as noted require rear clearance lamps in order to meet the applicable requirements of 49 CFR 571.108 (FMVSS No. 108 ) in effect at the time of manufacture of the vehicle.
Everything you ever wanted to know about lamps and reflective devices: Part 393.11tustultuses Thanks this. -
They have the red lights on the rear side corner of the trailer (next to the abs light) but not on the actual rear corners. Just have the the three center ones on the rear of the trailer.

More lights the better,
So cars can see you.
Well We can dream, right?
