Cadcadia is over charging my batteries!

    Alternators look for battery voltage level on a sensing wire or through the charge terminal and adjust the field current to suit the level of output necessary for 13.8vdc or so.

    16vdc is a bad regulator imo. No alternator should exceed 14.4vdc. Youve got too much magnetism in the field windings. Bring it to an alternator shop.

    Grounding positive cable fried regulator. New cable and alt, good to go
