Lol, hey, what can I say, I just don't like them, just like a lot of guys don't like the Northeast and NY and stuff.

The mountains are a non issue to me. Maybe it's because I've been up and down them so many times, but I don't remember having a problem with the mountains after my first couple times running out west.

Imo they slow you down going up and down the mountains, especially routes that have a lot of mountains.

I can't explain it, but the Rockies and Cascades are way better to drive and take way less emotional energy out of me than the Appalachians on the east coast.

I think part of it is because the west coast (apart from the coastal I5 corridor) hasn't been overrun yet so there's way less traffic, but I also think a part of it is because so much of it is wide open with very little human development and very few trees, so you can look at what feels like forever into the distance. The landscapes are stunning, especially with fresh snow.

Then there's also the fact that once you get off from the I-5 corridor in any of the 3 western coastal states, truck parking becomes so much less stressful and your basically guaranteed a spot in most places you shut down.

I have a feeling if you ever go out west, you'll probably be like 95% of long haul truckers and get addicted to it. It's almost like stepping back in time, it's probably how trucking used to feel like everywhere in the United States before the 1980's, outside of the northeast I95 corridor which has always been crowded.

Cool, hopefully I like it overthere. I don't know why they haven't send me out West yet, they've only been sending me to the Midwest and Northeast, hopefully they're not waiting when winter come to send me there lmao!!

Trust me you will notice a big change… Driving out west in my opinion is a lot less stressful. You have a lot less traffic until you hit the major metropolitan areas like LA the Bay Area, Portland, Seattle and Denver, etc.…

Yeah, I've always wanted to drive in the desert, I wanted to drive in a forest and I've experienced that plenty in the Midwest and the South, beautiful outhere, when driving on US-131 in Michigan going to Grand Rapids, beautiful landscapes with ranches and stuff. Makes me want to drop everything and move to the country side in Texas already lol. Hope I'll see some beautiful scenery out West too.
