Gary ooch! How are you? Enjoying your stay in Yatesville? Send my love to various people at the terminal. I'm home, got here yesterday. I deliver in the morning in Orlando then home until Friday. I need to get my truck into the shop for some needed repairs, like my top sleeper window that leaks like Niagara Falls when it rains and both my side skirts brackets that broke and the side fairings being held together with bungee straps. Like you said, these Volvo's are a great truck to drive but when things go wrong then you wind up driving around with bungee straps holding it together, not cool. Let me know what happens.

Home again. Got empty about 9:30 this morning, stopped for fuel and truckwash. I'll call into Jason Thursday for my reload info. I have a Dr. Appt tomorrow with an Orthopedic Surgeon to see if I need surgery on my ankle. Be safe all, God Bless.

Two weeks ago I was on my way up to Pittston and was following the travels of the US Airways jet that landed in the Hudson 2 years ago. It had left NJ and was making it's way down to Charlotte to a museum. I was following the route on my Blackberry and realized I would see it on 77 in NC. It stopped for the night at the scale house just inside the state line on 77. People were stopping on the shoulder, roadway, and median strip just to take pictures and see this plane up close. I took a picture of it as I was driving by. Now, if you told me Sulley was there signing autographs that would be one thing, but all it was was the fuselage on a flatbed truck.

Got my load info. Reload in Groveland Florida tomorrow for a Saturday am delivery in Salisbury NC. Then deadhead to Greenville SC for a drop and hook for a Sunday drop in Mountaintop PA. After spending the day getting X-rays and an MRI, I finally found out I won't need surgery on my ankle. I just have to use a walking boot for 2 weeks. Yippee!!!!!!

I'm sitting at the Petro up the street from the terminal. I got empty around 2 this afternoon. It was a very uneventful trip since leaving the house Friday at 5am.

I had a broker load that picked up in Groveland at 10am. I was loaded by noon and on my way to Salisbury NC for a Saturday delivery at 10am. I was able to make it to the Loves at the 154mm on 26 and took my 10 hour break there. I was awaken by my cell phone at 5:45 am. Usually the only phone calls that happen at that time are bad news so I jumped up and answered the phone. I looked at the caller ID and saw it wasn't my wife so now I'm pi$$ed. I answer the phone and low and behold it's the brokers office asking me where I am. This really set me off. This is how the conversation went, "Hello John, this is Paul, I'm doing check calls for the office, what is your location?" John answers in his most sarcastic tone he could muster with this reply, "Are you Effin kidding me? At 5:45 am where do you think I am? I'm in bed!" And now that you woke me up any information you need from me from this point forward will come from my office on Monday when you call to find out if I got empty on time! Click, and that was the extent of my conversation with them.

I'm really not a morning person, especially at that time of day, and the voice sure didn't sound like my wife. I got up, went inside to wash up and get a cup of coffee then drove the last 3 hours to my delivery. I was empty and on my way to my drop and hook in Piedmont SC by 11am. I was done in Piedmont by 3 and made it to the Loves at the 84mm on 81 in Virginia where I took my 10 hour break. I got up at 5am this morning and got to my delivery at 1pm in Mountaintop PA. There was a little mix up about my delivery address. The bills said one thing and my dispatch screen said something else. I called into the dispatcher on duty and was told to drop the trailer at the address on my Peoplenet and their yard jockey would bring it to the right place on Monday. What we do at this particular customer is drop the trailer in their staging area, sign the bills ourselves, leave a copy in the mailbox and go on our way. I just needed to get dispatch to tell me where to drop it then I was on my way to the T/S to meet Chris (the rookie) and shoot the breeze a while.

I spoke to Louie Friday afternoon and he asked me if I wanted to go west. I told him yes. I'll know more in the morning.

I've been home the last 3 turns so now it's time to go to work.....lol

Sitting in Elgin Illinois 8 miles to my delivery in the morning. I was sent my reload information early this morning. Just like I was told yesterday before I left Pittston, loading in Cornell Wisconsin for a Tuesday delivery in Fernly Nevada. This will work out just right. I'll get to Fernly Sunday and take my reset before getting empty that way I'll be good to go after getting empty. Then bounce over Donner to Salinas. I should be loaded and on my way back Wednesday night. I'm planning on meeting Chris (the rookie) in Rockford tomorrow, he's unloading in Morris Illinois and reloading at the same place as I am and delivering the same place as me.
