It wasn't so much the uphill, it was all the downhill s-curves and the occasional camper on the wrong side of the road.

Alright, which one of you were in Panama City this morning, July 25? I know it wasn't Johnboy, thought maybe it was JRotra? Either way, whoever it was seemed to be sleeping pretty soundly, one thing I can say is it seems the air condition on those volvos must blow really good, every window on that thing was fogged over. Either way, whoever it was I waved hello as I fueled up and headed back to Tallahassee.

Sitting at the Petro up from the terminal. I got unloaded at 10am and had to drop my empty at one of our customers on my way into the yard. By the time I got there it was to late to have my write ups taken care of. I was told to be back at the shop at 7am and it would be put in first thing. My regen system is having a nervous breakdown and Ray told me it's time to change out the filter and service it. I also need my front end aligned again, pulling to the right is very hard on the shoulder. I also am at the point for new drive tires, I thought maybe I could make it to the end of the summer but they aren't looking to good.

Well I get to spend the night at the motel here in Pittston. Louie had me set up to load today with an LTL load that finished in Miami on Friday, but my write ups turned into major surgery. I got new tires put on my truck, the regen work has turned into a major fiasco. It's been in the shop since 7:15 this morning. I am told that it will be done tomorrow. Meanwhile Louie took me off the LTL load and has me on a drop and hook tomorrow night delivering in Orlando on Friday. Here's what the truck looks like as of 2pm.
(1) The mechanic getting started, hoping it's just minor.
(2) Work has started.
(3) Parts?
(4) Look, no Regen.
(5) There it is!Attached Files:

Lol I hope you get back on the road soon Johnboy. I talked to a recruiter at Calex earlier this year after following your thread but they don't hire out of my area. Oh well at any rate I still enjoy following this thread. Be safe!
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Those regen systems can be hell, I've got the one with the filters in the exhaust, no DEF tank, and it's amazing how many times I've had to have it in the shop. I took delivery of the truck with 80 miles on it, I now have 163,000 on it and it has been in the shop no less than 10 times with regen and other related issues. I've only been in trucking for 8 years, but I can't remember having near the amount of issues with trucks I've driven over the years, all of which had well over 500,000 miles on them.
