Actually we do hire fresh out of school but we are very picky. Talk to Chris in recruiting for more info.

The last time I was at that disgusting place was 25 years ago, and because of that horrible experience my wife and I haven't purchased a product of theirs since then.

I'm sitting here in Elgin Il for my 8am delivery in the morning. This week sure didn't start out very good. I left the house at 11am on Monday. My wife took me to my truck with all my food. I put everything else in the truck on Saturday then went home. When I got to the truck on Monday I had left my interior light on and my battery was dead. I got my jumper cables out and low and behold they were broken right in the middle. After a few MF's and some other choice words I went and bought another set of cables. I got back, hooked the jumper cables up to my wifes SUV and waited about 20 minutes. I finally got the truck started, loaded my home cooked food that my wife prepared for me and left. I drove the 290 miles straight to the port in Jacksonville, got backed in and went to make a sandwich. I opened the door to my fridge and as if I need any more headaches the effin fridge didn't come on the 4 hours I was driving to my pick up. Luckily some of my food was frozen and everything else was still cold. I found out that the compressor had taken a dump. Great, now I had to find a new fridge soon or the food my wife cooked was going to be thrown out. I got loaded and went online to find a Lowes near Kingsland Ga. They are the only ones that have the right size fridge that fits in my opening. As luck would have it there's a Lowes at the same exit as the Petro at exit 3, just the other direction from the fuel stop. I ran in, spent my $200 on a new fridge, this time with an extended warranty and was good to go. I gave the clerk who helped me a tip so he took my broken fridge and tossed it into the dumpster. My food was saved, my wife was happy and I was a hot sweaty truck driver that was relieved.

With all this commotion in my life I still had just enough time to get to Spartanburg and unload around 2am. On my way up on 26 it started to rain, and I mean rain. It was dark, and with the heavy rain coming down I had slowed down to about 45mph. All of a sudden I get passed by a car that was doing at least 75mph. He flew by me and the next thing I see is his headlights pointing at me as he's now going west with me, the only difference between him and me was I was going forwards and he was going backwards. He then did a 360 and flew off the road, down the embankment, through the fence and into a pasture. At that moment I realized he didn't hit a tree or anything else and I was quite sure he was just fine, except the inside of his car must have stunk pretty bad after he got done pooping his pants. In the pouring, driving windswept rain I kept going to the next rest area and called it a night. I woke up the next morning, drove the last 2 hours to my delivery and was empty in 15 minutes. It doesn't take very long to unload 4, 10,000 pound rolls of paper. I was already preplanned and headed down to Greenville to drop and hook for a load going to Mountain Top PA.

I made it to Carlisle that night and went to bed. I got up early yesterday and drove the last 130 miles to my delivery. On my way up Louie called and asked me if I wanted to go west. I said sure and he gave me this load I'm on right now. It's our customer on both ends, and takes about 30 minutes to unload. Jason sent me my reload early this morning. I load up in Cornell Wisconsin going to Fernly Nevada for Monday morning. I did this same load about a year ago and it's an easy load on both ends. The good thing is the miles since leaving the house, 1380 to Pa, and 2920 to Fernly, all in 8 days, all paying on one check. That's it for now. Be safe all, God Bless.

Weeble Kneeble and Voyager1968 Thank this.
