Yeah they will get u the home time u want, unless ur stupid like me and move to the middle of a freight lane in Oklahoma. I was very lucky to get into Calex with my background. I guess I will have to stay safe and stick it out with this great company for awhile and hope they can give me a few more runs like I have this week. Pu a load in LAncaster, PA last Wedns, and they gave me a week to get it to Cali, so I got a few days at home.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.

Have you left the house? Did you get in touch with Gary? I know he was in Joplin last night. I'm leaving the house around 11am tomorrow. I load in Jacksonville at 4pm and deliver in Columbia SC 7am Tuesday. I'll call you tomorrow night, unless you need something then call me.

Well I saw a Calex truck yesterday afternoon on 70 in Washington PA, could this have been GLOBO? Older guy, balding a little, and on the heavier side? I know that's not the ideal description, but if he fits the bill then I saw him headed west yesterday.

Wasn't him, even though he was going that way. He was in Rolla Mo yesterday headed west.

Hey John, came across your thread here. I am currently thinking of going back OTR have been out of it for 5 years. I see they are out of Pa which is the same state I am live in. Do you know the pay scale and requirements for employment? I can not seem to find them on there website. I am very interested but I have a one accident minor in the past 3 years. So finding a GOOD company is difficult at the moment. Currently doing some local work for a truck body/Mech shop. Any infomation you can provide would be very helpful. Thank you.

Hey John Boy, still keeping up with your adventures and still kicking around the idea of trying to get on board with them, I was reading over everything again and didnt happen to notice if you mentioned it or not but does Calex use Pre-Pass for the weigh stations?? They seem like a great company and it sounds like they treat you very well.

Hey all, just dropping in to say hello. Hope all is well. I'm out here running around on a Rock n Roll tour for the summer. It's pretty crazy, definitely not for everyone. Be safe everyone....

We do use it, but the drivers that use it, including myself, pay for it themselves.

    Thanks, but it wasn't me.

Hello Al, glad the new gig is working out for you

I'm not sure if they would hire you with that length of a gap between OTR jobs. My suggestion would to call into safety and ask away.
