Unfortunately it is not just Brother John with this issue. I have had issues with my check 11 out of the last 13 weeks. Their is no excuse to mess up Johns or my pay because there is next to no variance in what we do each week. As soon as they see our pay info hit their desk they could pretty much rubber stamp it. I spend more time on the phone trying to get my money straight than anything else. And to be quite honest I am about sick of this. I am not trying to throw anyone under the bus and I understand that mistakes happen but I cant help but wonder if I only did my job right twice in 13 weeks how long would I keep this dedicated run?

I'm empty sitting here at the Petro up from the yard. I left the house Saturday at 3pm and drove down to Miami to load. I got there about 4, checked in and was given a door about 4:30. I was done loading at 5:30 and decided to meet my wife and go out to dinner. She was waiting for me where I park my truck and we went out and had some ribs. I was back at the truck at 8pm and headed to Cranbury NJ soon after. I finished driving at 3am. I woke up Sunday with about 500 miles to go. I developed a back issue last week and it's been bothering me ever since so I ended my day at the truck rest area in northern VA at 6pm. I got up and was rolling at 4am Yesterday morning with 200 miles to go. I had a 10:30 appt at Costco D/C and arrived at 10am after stopping for fuel and coffee in Bordentown. Let me tell you, this Costco is just like the one I deliver to every Friday morning in WPB Fl. Given a beeper at the gate, assigned a door, backed right in, never leave the truck, beeper goes off 45 minutes later and getting my paperwork as I'm being checked out the gate. Costco needs to sell their corporate model regarding truck unloading to every major corporation throughout the U.S. What a pleasure to unload at this company.

I was back at the yard to top off my tanks and get my dispatch paperwork from Louie at 3pm. I went in to continue the discussion about my missing trip envelope. This is turning out to be a constant source of hemmoroid (sp?) pain that I'll save for a later post. Between my back, getting up at 4am and the stress dealing with payroll I was exhausted when I got here yesterday. I took a shower ate dinner and was in bed sound asleep at 6:30 last night. I woke up about 1am, had my cookies and milk then went right back to sleep. The only reason I woke up this morning was because my wife called me to make sure I was still alive.

Yes, Costco does have a great set up, I used to go to the one in Phoenix, Az quite a lot and that set up makes it a hell of a lot easier and a lot less stressful for the driver. I have often said also it would be a lot easier on the driver if a place would just simply put a big sign over the door you are supposed to go to to check in at, then you wouldn't look like a ####### running to 20 doors and after a half a mile of warehouse usually in the pouring down rain you get the right one!! Also, I enjoy the info you put out, thanks for keeping it up.

    Only 5 more days!

As luck (or Murphy) would have it though, right after I give my notice, business picked back up. Don't know if it's a fluke, or if someone finally got their head out of their backside, and started scheduling/ordering properly. For any who don't know, for the past 4 months it's been a struggle where I work, and we on our fleet were lucky if we got 10 of our 20 scheduled loads for the week.

    Johnboy,
Just wanted to say a quick Hello. Hope you and the family are doing well. After I got layed off in December, I ended up buying a truck and am now leased on with Mercer. Seems pretty good. Take good care and safe miles,

    Larry

Hey there Larry. Good to hear from you. Good luck with you and the O/O gig. As you know it's tough out there, especially when you try owning one. Be safe, and I'm wishing you the best in the toughest part of trucking.

Spoke to Jason in dispatch. I have a drop and hook in Greenville Monday night before 11pm. I'll leave the house about 10am on Monday. I'll drop that trailer in Mountain Top Tuesday night then start my next round on Wednesday.
