Eventually all the old iron goes to the recycled bins. They are just speeding the cycle up that's all. I have a 99 KW & 21 Frt. The 99 is going to be going taking its last ride in the near future. Beep Beep

Hey!!! I’m not Mexican and I stay on the east coast. Beat down FLD is too harsh for my rig. I call it under construction.

I don't think California is doing anything wrong. What's the problem?

We don't need no stinking subcontractors.

We don't need no stinking diesel engines or gasoline engines.

All we need to do is every single solitary person in the state of California that has a truck go out and put dynamite in it and blow it up and then just go spend a couple hundred thousand dollars on an electric truck. What's the big deal?

We all know that electric trucks are superior in every way and we all know it's affordable for everyone and we all know that the California electric grid is prepared for anything!

But isn't California the place where if it's getting kind of hot, which it is most of the time especially in southern california, that if you turn on your air conditioner the whole electric grid shuts down?

Nah, plug in every single solitary tractor trailer every single solitary automobile every single solitary motorcycle every single solitary moped every single solitary lawn mower every single solitary leaf blower... what could go wrong with that genius plan?

No, there's no problems with any of that they have it all figured out...

I can only imagine what happens when he pulls into a shop and they try to find a wiring issue between 2002 & 2023.

At some point California regulations will make impossible for anyone with an older rig, despite it's condition or legality in the other lower 48, that inbound freight will have to be marshalled in Portland, Vegas, Yuma and Reno.

I hope they are all willing to bear the costs.

I would think that it wouldn’t be too bad since the cab has been converted. At least there’s not a hacked together harness trying to make a new engine talk to an old dash. I mean, it seems good on paper. Lol. Better them than me though.

I think we get your sarcasm, and spot on, I might add. California will experience some tough times ahead. There's a conflict of too many lifestyles. I see that to an extent in Colorado. Possibly due to the lack of qualified people in government, everybody has their own answer. This ban is nothing new, California usually led the way in goofy laws anyway, and I'm not sure how many 12 year old trucks are still out there, EVERYTHING looks new to me. Clearly a ploy to sell newer trucks or fail are the options. I read the Colorado River, that supplies S.Cal with water, is like 70% down. Levels are so low, dams will begin shutting down, and we're not talking about hair dryers either, industry will shut down. Recent surveys show, almost 1/4 million people left California last year, the "California Exodus" it's been termed. Many come here, but most are going down south, places like Miss, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, places that have lower standard of living, to simply exist. By far, the biggest outside transplants to Colorado are from Texas. Folks in Colorado are leaving as well, not those numbers, but to those places to escape our high costs, seemingly normal to Texas or Cal folks. To quote the great John Fogerty,,,"I see a bad moon a risin",,
