Hi there, truckers!
This week I'm going to the DMV to get my CDL permit. I'm planning to get the doubles/triples, hazmat, and tank endorsements, but I'm not sure if I'm going to have to pay an additional fee of $39 for each endorsement on top of the $66 application fee... anyone?
Also, if I decide to add the passenger endorsement to the permit (just because it might be free), but for whatever reason don't take the driving test on a bus, is that going to affect getting my class A license to drive a truck? In other words, if I don't complete the passenger endorsement, would I still be able to take the truck driving test and get my class A, or are they going to make me take the passenger endorsement driving tests too before issuing my license?

The App Fee covers any and all your endorsements. At least that's all I paid for mine. Not sure on your second question as I didn't do that one. And don't pln on it.
I m in Ca also what part are you in? I am in central ca Stockton to be exact which is why I want out of here lol -
One fee covers all providing you take them all same day. Don't waste your time on passenger endorsement unless you plan on taking your test with a passenger vehicle. You can take your passenger get endorsement written test and still take your driving test with a truck and trailer to obtain a CDL. You won't be able to haul passengers until you come back to take your skills and drive test in a passenger vehicle.

Hello again,
I successfully passed the tests and got my permit and endorsements, YAY!
I have a question regarding the medical certificate though.. DMV did not give me any medical card or anything. I read somewhere that they no longer issue ''green cards'' and that the medical card info is on the DMV record. Can I take driving lessons without having a medical card with me? -
