Just renewed my California CDL Medical Certificate last week. You have two options. Either mail it in at least 3 weeks prior to the old ones expiration or hand carry it. They do not allow email scans or faxing. Naturally I waited to the last minute and then had to stand in line to hand it to them. FYI, the big Federal Medical Certificate Computer base is still down. Was hacked last year and is still not up and running. My Doc has a pile of medical certificates waiting to be scanned in.
