Cheers,
Not a trucker here but a General Contractor with a 3/4 ton pickup and bumper pulled 14k trailer. Ca requires this license as the trailer is rated over 10k.
No where in the commercial handbook do they discuss obtaining this license, they say 88 is the restriction, and that it limits you to the combo you test in.
Question, I drive my 3/4 ton pickup to Vegas from California to pick up my new trailer, drive it back unloaded on my class C am I in violation?
Question I show up unloaded to DMV to test for A with 88, have I gone full retard and am getting cited and worse.
I know I could have the trailer down rated by the dealer, but then I couldn’t pull any of my heavy equipment.
California class A with 88 restriction
