I could be mistaken, but I think swift takes a deduction from your check each month for a year to pay for your schooling. After 1 year they return the money on each check.Even if you only do a year there it still seems like a good deal.My private school was 5900

Hey guys just wanted to update you all, I will be going with Knight Academy on July 7th. Any tips or information I should know before hand I currently have my CLP so that’s good. I want to go into the academy prepared and being able to succeed in getting my CDL. Anything is appreciated.

Easiest path forward for learning to drive will be dry van duty. After about 9 months....you can switch over to reefer duty. Later on...if you decide reefer duty sux...you can switch back to dry van.
Knight will also teach you flatbed -- if you're interested.
So...you can learn several freight types -- all with just one carrier.
This varied experience will make you very attractive to later employers.
Knight or Swift are probably two of the best places to get into the trucking industry right now. Both have lots of terminals & dropyards for safe, legal...& truck-friendly overnight parking....that other carriers just don't have.

Try to have fun with your experience but understand your first year will be your roughest. Be sure to get all your endorsements as well as a TWIC card, never hurts.
There's a YouTube channel called My Trucking Skills that goes into great detail about backing concepts. You might find it useful, All The Bestjoshuar03 and Powder Joints Thank this.
