I have put in about 6 applications in the past week to different companies and haven't heard ANYTHING from any of them. Should I call the company recruiters or wait till they call me? I have a spotless record so they really have no reason to reject me unless they just aren't hiring. I wanted to use my tax refund to get me through school so I need to know something soon. Thanks for any advice![]()

Who did you apply with? I always told my kids, if you don't hear from the company then call them. Keep bugging them, this shows them that you are interested in working, and earning a living..
kingsson Thanks this. -
Call and show them you want to work. Get e-mail addresses too. I find e-mail can't put you on hold and recruiters get back to you faster. It is way easier for the recruiter to hit reply and jot down some quick info for you than to call you back.

call them now, email them now, send telegram now, send letter today, use smoke signals or whatever but let them all know you are serious and interested in them.
my 2 cents -
if i was u i would call them.u could have mark something wrong on ur app and not even know it.i filled out a app and when they did my background check they misread it and thaught i had a felony but i dont.i was only charged with one,but wasnt convicted of it.and because of that they would not call me.i had to call them 4 times before they finally got it straight.so i would call them if i was u,could just be they are not hiring.but if they r and u know u meet there qualifications then do one thing, PICK UP THE PHONE.....CANT HURT

Did you do your apps. on the internet? If so i would be sure to call and follow up, sometimes they have a lot of apps. on their desks and might not have even looked at your app. until you call. Or they'll say they did'nt recive it. If you call at least you'll know they recived it. Good luck!!!

When you call them expect half of them to say they didnt receive your app. Happens all the time. Just give it to them again. Get used to this kind of thing if youre going to be a truck driver.

CALL THEM. Every day. They receive hundred of apps. Companies are backed up with applications. Calling them every day, especially as you narrow the field, keeps your application at the top of the stack.
