Is there more to the story of you only averaging 18 months per employer for your 27 year career so far? Does it have anything to do with not being able to pickup and deliver loads on a legally set schedule? If you get poor rest during your mandatory break do you call dispatch and say you need even more time to deliver the load, eventually resulting in the question of the customer asking "why does it take this guy longer to deliver my stuff?"

The definition of irresponsible it looks like is not so straight forward...

Yes. Even so if people drove safely (left lane passing only) life would be so much better...

    Roflmao!

I wouldn't accept a load that was legal by definition yet unsafe for me to do.
    ( i don't have issues with saying NO )

I get the sleep i need to be safe and complete the load on time. Why ?
Because I operate with in the boundaries of my natural circadian rhythm.

Again ... I've always forced dispatchers/ planners to do their job. They either break and comply or I move on.

Have I ever had loads rescheduled sure but, it's done before I've accepted the load.

Oh I forgot , has a customer ever ask the question. Yes I've been asked directly and after explaining to them HOS
( I'm really amazed at how many people working in warehouses and factories and all the way down to littlest customer even at 20 to 30 yr mark in business have absolutely no clue about HOS)
And also explain had I tried to get there at the original date and time it would of required me to drive fatigued putting their freight at risk of ending up in ditch or me putting their loved ones at risk as I rolled through their town.
I've always been thanked for the explanation of HOS and not putting lives at risk.
I'm truly amazed at how many people including shippers are completely clueless about the transportation side .

    You are twisting things now...
Originally it is scheduled with ample time to take your break and deliver it legally.. when you take your 10 hour break and don't rest well and then what do you tell your customer? It doesn't matter what you tell them you obviously aren't the guy for the job. That is quite different from being asked to run illegal from the start.

Like I said I get the sleep I need because I operate with in my boundaries.
Agian if it's legal by definition with plenty of time for a ten but not safe for me to run I'm not taking it.

Look I get it ,the argument ( case )your trying to make isn't flying and your frustrated.

My argument doesn't fly? Right. Coming from the guy with 18 jobs in 27 years. Just keep quitting and "moving on".

Why the ad hominem? Your attacking them and not their arguments.

By the way up to 92 I had never been late.
92 to 95 late 5 times all for the same stupid reason. I use to have a problem while setting an alarm clock forgetting to make sure it was set for am not pm, completely retarded.
In 2006 I was late again. In 2014 I was late another retarded move on my part.
Yeah your right I'm obviously not the guy for the job, lol.

    Your frustration is oozing.
Why is it your so hung up on me having 18 different truck jobs?
Is it because you don't have the cojones to tell an employer were they can put their job.

    peterd Thanks this.
