I doubt that will happen. Feds know whats best for truckers. Elogs will no doubt be able to be tracked and violations dealt with immediately. Fines will be in your mailbox on a regular basis. Likely setup a direct debit to keep fines paid in a timely fashion.:)

I never said I give up any rights because of elogs. I have already given up rights as a cdl holder. It's been years since I falsified a log book by even one minute. Elogs will not directly effect me. They are still bad for the industry and give the government another little bit of control.
You are correct were not anymore important than any other business. The fact remains the lawn care business and trucking are already over regulated. Rarely does the government lift the burden of over regulations.

It is useless man. These are the same drivers who let a company put a camera on them 24/7 and say, oh it's no big deal. Or get sent all around Chicago "looking for an empty" for free. Or get a beeping message on the Qualcomm saying wake up Little Johnny your 10 hr break was up 3 minutes ago, you should be rolling by now. These aren't truck drivers, they are sheep being led around on a string. I really don't see how they do it, I would cut my CDL up and burn it before dealing with that crap...

These people crack me up with the elogs makes me safer crap.I just pulled an all nighter from nj to north carolina on elogs and can tell you I wasn't any safer. The elogs told me I was fine. All it did was make me rush to get down there tired so I could hurry up and stop the clock btw I was up for 28+ hours but hey I was legal according to the elogs. My point is elogs don't make the roads any safer. Its a bunch of nonsense.

Elogs make us follow the outdated and useless hos that don't work for us... You can be legal or safe... For the most part not both at the same time.

My biggest problem is most drivers earning minimum wage working 70+ hours a week. The problem is pay not increasing with inflation. Who would complain so hard if they could make a living and not have to work more than a Japanese salaryman?
