Driver pay would go up 50% if about 4 outfits went out of business--Swift, JB Hunt, Schneider, and C.R. England.

You cannot organize drivers against a company because so and so on the phone stepped on your toes after you made noises and potential threats to run up a fuel bill deadheading etc.
What you SHOULD have done is take your 34 reset, cough up 100 dollars and FLEW to see your family member with the truck parked in the Denver Ternimal. You will have to return rather quickly to Denver. As luck would have it you would have had your surgery there in Denver based on your time line.
Everything would have worked out.
You cannot and will not win any kind of suits for being treated badly. I think as a former JBH employee, you would be treated exactly as you are treating them. Fair's fair.
Im sorry, but your position does not hold water. I also had that surgery at 22. I was told to sit home 6 weeks do nothing, I was back at work lumping in Hunts Point in three and off pain killers in three days. no need to lay around taking narcotics.... (Oh the irony...)
I realize your family is very important. But you gave up certain things when you went over the road trucking. Refer to the second paragraph of my solution and it's a valid solution. It only takes 3 to get to Phoenix from Denver, a little less than that if you are lucky to take one of the Embarer rocket ships (A small passenger jet but famous for 45000 feet in a certian amount of time and will get to such a place much faster than a lumbering old 737 which needs 4 hours to do the same.)
That's all I have for now. You CAN dispute the quitting reports on your DAC etc by submitting medical records of your surgery etc showing date and time. In fact you might have something out of it from that surgery alone. Dismissed for being legitamately sick somewhere in the law.
So that's not all bad. Anyone else considering a similar problem, take that 34 reset and USE that time, fly home and fly back to the truck. -

Let me tell ya, I worked for jb , orientation,they told guys if they couldn't pass drug test ,tell them you had to go feed your fish and take it the next day.waiting at night for the college dispatchers to send you a load. True,I waited three hours no load and called every 10-15 min to check then Bob tailed home,main dispatcher on days called next day asked what happened,so I told him, said you will pay me for deadhead and etc. He said they would and it was always problems with college kids doing dispatch.
Sat at Chicago railyard for half hour calling for next load,then drove to our terminal there,the guy was on his phone playing games. Told him it better not happen again.
Lastly ,I did check, recruiter always blows smoke up u, once driving then things change,so I've been there and seen it. Not there anymore !
