Greetings, Can we get more job specific forum's. People are posting the same threads continually because they do not see that the same question has been asked. I dont blame them for posting without searching for the thread that might already answer their questions. The forum's are swamped with too broad of topics all in the same thumbmail.

I propose building on the great ideas you've already implemented and now making them more detailed.

For example: LTL Forum should have job specific sub-forums created by the Mod's.

    - Farming
    + Livestock
+ Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Peanuts, Litter.
    + Poultry
    + Equipment
+ How to get started in Farm Hauling
    -Logging
    + Swamp logging
    + Plantation logging
    + Pulp, Pole, Select cut.
    + Equipment
+ How to get started in Log Hauling
    -Delivery
    + Convience stores
    + Produce
    + Beverages
    + Restaurants
    + Equipment
+ How to get started in Delivery Driving

And the list goes on and on...

Thanks, I really do wish that ya'll consider my request and any other request another member might voice.

Hi Big_jon, thanks for the suggestion. I've learned from experience that highly specific subforums are counter-productive. If there isn't already significant discussion on a particular topic, creating a subforum for it won't generate more discussion. The benefit of subforums is that they help organize topics so that new threads won't get buried in extremely active forums. None of the job specific subforums are active enough for this to be a problem. Another benefit is that if a topic is being discussed in threads that are spread out across many forums, creating a subforum provides one place for all that discussion to continue. That's what happened with the Oilfield Trucking forum.

If you see other job specific topics like Oilfield Trucking that has a large volume of threads on the topic and could benefit from a centralized subforum then let me know.

There is a specific problem we're trying to avoid: every subforum needs a critical mass of members visiting it regularly in order to keep discussion going. If the job specific forums get spread out too thin then none of them will have enough visitors to reach that critical mass.
