I got on after two rounds of seasonal work. Anxious time in my life. Lol well worth it, though.

It took me 3 peaks to get hired full time but times were slow for a while after 9-11. Seems like many people get hired full time at the larger locations fairly soon after working one peak. I second what others have said. If you have the financial ability to weather some lean times, it is worth it. You won’t beat the job eventually as far as ease of work, pay and benefits and most importantly employer stability.

I start next week as a full-time seasonal driver at $30 h/r. They said they need drivers badd and no one wants to drive big trucks. Everyone wants package car. Does the pay rate stay the same or drop once they hire you on permanent? I work for a FedEx ground contractor currently and making the switch.

Welcome aboard, by the way. Congratulations. -
I'm very excited but nervous at the same time. Im on a solo dedicated run making 1600-1700 a week but working for a contractor comes with risks. No benefits. I'm sure there be some pay loss for a bit. But I hope I can't get hired on by end of year (hr said should be do able) -
