Ah, I see you added your company name. Now that makes sense.

They have to keep that turnover up, you know.

At orientation at the company I work for (light package delivery) the manager said. "There is a device attached to the ECM of the vehicle that records your location and speed . Do not remove it, damage it, or interfere with its function." I think the same implicit rules go with any device your company adds to their vehicles.

....yep, better yet just leave the whole truck and all alone, sitting in the yard and the problem is solved

Yep, I think we all should walk away from carriers that have driver facing cameras, we don't need anyone watching us. Lets just go to work in a warehouse, a factory or flipping burgers......oh wait a minute, those places have cameras watching you all the time too. What are we to do.

Just put in the electrical tape on lenses. Many drivers were talking about this on the cb.

.... I like the ideal of putting scotch tape over the lens

.... Let's test them and see who comes up out of the water screaming first...
Those warehouses and burger joints or the truckers who are out of work for three days
... I wonder who would loose the most $ in those three days?

You can't cover the lens or put clear fingernail polish on it without it ratting you out.
The thing with the camera is, the person watching it gets hundreds of times to replay it, say it takes 70 times to see what caused the incident, maybe she even has to ask a man to help her, then they watch another 80 times to see how it could have been avoided, then they have the driver call in so they can coach him and make him a safer driver. Then they're confused as to how he didn't notice the camera trip or that he doesn't remember the moderate braking "event".
The cameras can be set up to trip at any braking level.

Sounds like a lot of BS to me
.... If they really want cameras for safety & lawsuit prevention why not put 360 outside views on the equipment instead of trying so hard to put heat on the drivers and degrade our wages even more than they have been doing for yrs now
