I believe there is some truth to this.
If a driver is involved in an accident the camera footage will be reviewed and even if the driver had the right of way for example, you can bet the company will micro-analyze EVERYTHING the driver was doing at the time of the accident. Were both of his hands on the wheel at 10 and 2 position? Was he constantly scanning mirrors and everything around him? Was he smoking, eating, drinking or any other thing that would possibly take his attention from the situation? Did he react quickly enough? Was he traveling at the proper speed for the situation?
You can see where this type of thing could lead in a court case. Seems pretty one sided to me...

so what happens if the camera lens gets dirty? is the driver responsible for cleaning it? lets say you sneeze and some snot covers the lens or you accidentally touch the lens after eating some greasy ts food.

I agree with you, and I don't care to have the camera, I was just saying that if everything else was what I wanted, I would probably give it a try. -

... See where this is going? -
ALR Thanks this.

I have no expectation of privacy in the drivers seat. If I expected privacy I could just drive down the road naked.
