I'm late to this thread, although I was one of the first posters here after the initial. I apologize if I seemed brash; but "theoretically," I'm the guy in the Pete. We have families to go home to as well. You are fortunate THAT DRIVER had a head on his shoulders and had obviously a heart on his sleeve. I'm sorry that your shop kinda effed you, man. We have a family RV, as well. As a rule, however, I just DO NOT pass T/T's......

Glad to see you made it home okay, with your family in tact, man.

THANK YOU for coming back here, to update us all; Too bad Cdl life and Live Trucking wouldn't do that, as well.

Be safe in your future endeavours; stop back if you choose. We (most of us, anyway) are a good group of guys that try to know our stuff.

    Tomcat.

I guess I opened up a huge can of worms, didn't expect this thread to go 8 pages long, let alone get past 3...

Worked out well, for a reason. Nice to hear the other side (or the rest?) of the story, since "Paul Harvey" isn't a member here. Good job, man. I'm glad the RV driver/hauler showed up, even though he probably won't be back.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Oh I dunno about the can of worms. If just one RV'er reads this thread, then it's a can of worms that was worth opening.
What really frosts me is all the local contractors around here that pull utility trailers without hooking electrical or safety chains. They drag their safety chains, which causes sparks, which hits the cheat grass. Then, if we are lucky, we get a bunch of small fires along the highway. And if we are unlucky, one or more turns into a conflagration.

If there is one thing I learned about towibg RVs (not from here, but a good example) is never speed. I hear recommendations as high as 60mph. If I ever tow a trailer with my F350, I may heed that advice.

    Lepton1 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

At least somebody got a lesson learned; no hard feelings, just truths. Be safe, man.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
