Using Google don't help you avoid low clearances, or weight restrictions.
People to cheap for a truck GPS are the drivers going to jail for breaking bridges, and damaging city streets.

    NavigatorWife and rabbiporkchop Thank this.

Thanks everyone. I’ll try to address a few points here.

No, my company doesn’t provide routing.
I used to have Thomas guides and Roadrunner maps, but only for local areas I ran, and those days are gone, obviously.
I agree with others here that Google maps doesn’t help with the issue of truck routing, and I have been reticent to take advice from customers exactly because they tell you,”Yeah, sure, no problem, that’s how I get to work on my Vespa...”
I am going to retail furniture stores, which can be anywhere from congested retail centers, to the suburbs.
As far as not being able to afford a truckers GPS, that’s because I have a soon to be, but not soon enough ex wife who is blatantly intent on destroying me. I was found in contempt yesterday because I can’t pay the $2,800 per month that was foisted upon me by my (former) idiot lawyer and her liar (not a typo, that is what he is). I barely have two nickels to rub together after paying my own rent because of that.

Try google maps in Brooklyn and you will be directed under a 12 ft bridge.

I could send you one of my old ones. No prob. No charge. They do have their moments when they like to freeze or have a Brainfart however. But so does my current one.

Seriously???? Gps? Internet or phone maps? No wonder there are so many topped trlrs, and collapsed bridges. Who taught you people to navigate?
Rand McNally truckers atlas and a phone. Stop being so lazy people.

Is that even possible with a rig? Even if tandems are all the way up?

    IluvCATS Thanks this.

Got a truck Rand Mc-Nally in great condition on Craigslist for 60 bucks.
    Loud.
    Good; I'm half deaf.

Best of luck on the Ex; I got one, too. They're a lot of fun.
Don't flame out; crash and burn - It's temporary.
