Trying to keep my Class A experience going

You don't say what type(s) of local jobs you've tried to get....or where you are (a zip code would be just fine)....but....even without that info....the overall CDL job market is easily the worst I've seen since I started driving big rigs.
Also: the local job markets are easily the most competitive side of the industry.
The upper northeast -- & the southern half of FL....are probably where things are the absolute worst.
It's probably not you -- it's the CDL market itself...& your timing is terrible, too.
There's a lot of uncertainty out there right now -- & businesses tend to drag their feet with hiring when things look shakey.

Some companies posting Phantom Jobs just to have a constant signal of how many applicants are interested. Some companies like Indeed leave a job posted months or years after it was filled so first-time users of the site see Indeeds has lots of jobs, even though they have fewer. Used Car lots move their inventory around so passers-by don't see the same cars in the same spot for weeks & months.
That might be what's going on or it could be something else. Are there more people wanting to live where you are than jobs? That drives wages lower & 'requirements' through the roof.201, Iamoverit and gentleroger Thank this.
