Can’t find a job

Hi everyone I just got my CDL and I’m having hard time finding a trucking company that hires new grads the problem with that is I only can do urinalysis dt can’t to hair follicles not sure yet I need help

 

The only problem you have is making bad choices. Somewhere in your schooling they mentioned drug testing. You chose to ignore the warnings.
Wait a few months, lay off the dope, and keep trying.

 

You better wait till you’re clean before you test, or you’re going to have an even harder time finding a job as a newbie.

 

But they told me weed is legal in my State. Lol

Drug testing is an absolute in this industry, every company worth working for takes it seriously, zero humor, and it's pass or fail. Even asking about the drug test will probably put a red flag on you.

A typical hair follicle test goes back 90 days. If you want to be sure you'll pass, be clean for 180. They only test the hair closest to your head, it's not like they can tell if you blew a joint 3 years ago from your ponytail.

No employer is going to tell you which kind of drug test they use, they will most likely just move your application to the bottom of the stack, or the top of the trash can.

Your only option is to be clean long enough to be confident before applying anywhere.

 

Thanks for the advice but I’m here seeking help there are definitely companies hiring new grads with the urinalysis dt and fyi I test negative starting my school and tested negative couple days ago after my CDL I used while ago but I don’t want risk my CDL I know it was not a good choice but at that time my decision getting CDL was not on my frame

 

Dope is illegal in federal gov and even it was legal you can’t smoke weed and drive a big rig it’s legal in my state too

 

I live in Detroit area I did a urin dot test myself and it was negative I just don’t want to risk my CDL for a hair follicle I’m not even sure it will show positive on hair follicle but again I worked hard to get my CDL and don’t want to get done before starting thanks for help
