Iam pretty sure it would bend a wheel if a guy tired it ..lmao
No I've never seen a cow trailer or welfare wagon with any sort of slider -
The Canadians used to pull some flat floor hog trailers with independent sliders so they could run a spread down here and close them up at the border.
And I saw pics of a Barrett spread with a rear slide so it could be made Cali legal. But it was a junk Barrett so I doubt it’s still on the road. -
I take it your not a Barrett fan ..lol

Built like they’re made from repurposed beer cans. The guy who owned the trailers I pulled bought a brand new Barrett in 2016 because a place in ND was selling them for $60k. If there were calves in the jail it would flex so bad the belly gate would pop open. They ended up adding bracing to the belly gate replacing all the latches and pins with Wilson parts and Barrett paid for it under warranty. And to this day that trailer has only been used in the summer and fall for local stuff and the floor is about shot. Can’t imagine how bad it would be if it was used regularly.IH9300SBA, Magoo1968, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this.

How is it selfish and self-absorbed for me not to get the trailer wheel rim replaced when I only had about 30 minutes left on my 14 hr clock? If I got a citation for violating my 14 hr clock, DOT would charge my trucking company with CSA points for the violation. The violation would harm my entire trucking company. So it does not seem selfish to me at all to leave this problem for someone with more time on their 14 he clock to fix.

Your reply alone answers your own question. The whole "I'm short on hours, don't want to inconvenience myself so I'll leave it for the next guy" is a selfish answer. It happened on your watch, you should deal with it and not expect someone else to.Flat Earth Trucker, Magoo1968, Kyle G. and 1 other person Thank this.

You know you can stay on duty past 14 hrs, you just can't drive afterwards until you've completed a 10 hr break.

So did that wheel ever get replaced or did the next guy also ignore it and leave it for the next guy to leave it for the next guy?
