Can a bigger turbo be put on a ISX engine ?

    Hi all a mate of mine has a cummins ISX with all standard components, is there a bigger turbo that will give him more power ? I had a look on Pittsburgh power site but they don't seem to sell one.

    Yes, if you change several other parts too, and modify the ECM program to eliminate the VGT parameters. You're looking at about $9k ballpark to get it done. I'm getting rid of my ISX lieu a factory reman N14. No more EGR coolers to buy, no more stupidly expensive Variable Geometry Turbo.

    There are bigger VGT Holsets but that alone don't give you more power. With the right ECM tune that stock turbo is good for about 750 hp, at least.
