my (now) late aunt, had to go out for an operation, and was only out for maybe all of 3 weeks, not a workers comp claim either. she had worked for her employer for years. went back to work, she was told she didn't have a job anymore.

    so yeah, that DOES happen.

It doesn't matter, see they are posting those videos of you on youtube to cash in on the "angry trucker" caught on video.

A company can fire you for anything at anytime.

Why are you driving for a company with driver facing cameras?

Think about folks in any other profession. All kinds of things get them angry do they swear at everyone throwing, their arms around like a maniac every time they get slightly irritated or do they maintain their professionalism?

You have like 40 times more power than everyone else on the road. With that comes responsibility including learning patience and being slow to anger.

Believe me I went through this phase as well but make sure it's a phase and as you grow as a driver you learn to cope with issues on the road in a more productive and healthy way..

Most of the time four-wheelers do not know what they are doing that irritates us. This is why they deserve much more leeway with things compared to when you see another fellow truck driver behaving irresponsibly because you know they know better.

LOL. Probably not. Now if my company ever hears me sing that would get me fired. Or excessive talking to myself. They might get worried about me.

I talk to myself. Then I ask myself questions. Then I argue with myself about the questions I ask myself. Then I get mad at myself because I did not like the response to my own qiestions.
Then I stop talking to myself. This is what I have been reduced to driving a truck. :)

Is this some kind of joke/troll thread?

Anyway.. In most states they can fire you for any reason they want.. Or for no reason at all..
Will they for swearing .. Unlikely.
