Can a crankcase breather filter on a 2013 DD15 be cleaned, instead of buying new one?

I saw leaking at the bottom of crankcase breather filter, and it turned out it was cilinder kit failure, not a crankcase breather filter problem. Since i first bought a new one, instaled it, and problem continued, in the meantime i figured out what the problem was, i guess filter is filled with oil, same as the old one. Can any one of them be washed with brake cleaner, or diesel, or anything else? I managed to open it, and to get to the actual filter inside, it is not in bad shape, but it is "stuffed" with oil. Will it work good, if i just wash out the actual filter?

there is no filter(media) in that device. Its a centrifuge , something like turbo. The oil pressure spins it and separates oil from air..
