Can a D.O.T put a driver out of service because a driver didnt speak 100% english????

I was told by a michigan DOT officer the second the driver reaches for a cell phone to call somebody to interperet he will put the driver out of service. No exceptions. Maybe the officer thought that is what your driver was doing?

 

Actually, it is english. We fought wars to make it that way. So until the others come back to try to win against us again, it will remain english.

 

so tell me who did they displace? i keep hearing about how they are not native, yet there seems to have been no one here before them, hence, they laid claim by default

much different than those who came after, who lied, cheated, murdered their way to establish a "land of freedom"

i dont buy any of it, if you want english, move to england

Yes it is. But you have to remember half the problem is we're a melting pot, apearntly have open borders because we'll let anybody in, and we have a president in the white house that wants everybody that lives in the united states to conform to the ways of the immigrants. Sorry but I was born here, I was raised here, I don't give 2 sh*ts about what's going on over there unless it involves the United States, and I don't need to be learning how they live over there because I don't care....And that was a quote I used in world history in 10th grade because we had a debate over weather it was necessary to learn about what's going on in the rest of the world.

I am not racist. Never have been and never will be. If you follow the laws and uphold the American values that our veterans fought so hard for us to get I believe everyone has a place here.

For all you guys criying racism because a DOT put a driver out of service because he does not read or speak the english language, i tell you what?? go to any central American, South American spanish speaking country and you try to speak english and lets see how that goes? they will tell you Yankee go home! Or grin..! or tell the family of five in Texas about a russian driver that bought a drivers license in Illinois and killed all the familiy. The russian driver could not save his life trying to speak! IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. How hard is that to understand!
