YES IF YOU WANT TO BE A TRUCK DRIVER YOU MUST UNDERSTAND, SPEAK AND WRITE ENGLISH. Please say NO to Drivers that doesn't speak or understand English, if you see one of them at the Truck Stop report them to the near DOT they post a serious treat to you, themselves and other CDL drivers. I am Puerto Rican Born (Spanish is my first language) but a rule of the thumb English is the most important language in Planet Earth and is a Federal DOT requirement English is a MUST. They (Spanish speakers) come here thinking they have the right but they DONT, to the Continental U.S.A using and speaking only Spanish (that is very wrong), they must learn ENGLISH, for be on the road otherwise they need to stay in Miami, FL, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles or Phoenix, Arizona, all those are; USA soil cities and States that Spanish are acceptable for be on their highway. this is my opinion as Truck Driver CDL-13 years experience.
Can a D.O.T put a driver out of service because a driver didnt speak 100% english????
