I have a digital TV antenna I purchased at Walmart, think its a RCA, the thin flat square one. Can this be used to boost wifi signal for my laptop as well? If so how?

    No.
Different frequency...just like on a CB, a WI-Fi antenna must be tuned since it receives and transmits.
Wi-fi operate at a MUCH higher frequency...2.4 Gigs for most...some (getting kinda rare 5 Gigs..bust few computers have cards that can do this. Your best bet is to get a USB Wifi receiver, and an extension cable...and find a spot that get you a good signal.
Some specialized receivers/transmitters are sold with special external antennas...even one with a Mirror mount....But kinda $$$ bucks.
If you are interested...look here...this place has some specialized stuff...aimed at RV's and boaters!!
