To my knowledge, Texas doesn't accept a box number. Have to have a physical address that is an actual residence.
Yes, an RV or travel trailer can be a physical address, but have to register it in Texas and have a lot number where you park it.

I just helped a friend get this done. The basic issue is the government does not accept PO. Boxes as a domicile address so no UPS stores, no USP boxes, etc. You need to use a private mail box store that has a physical street address that assigns you a specific suite #. This is a 100% legal address to use for opening bank accounts, licenses, etc. This is true in all 50 states. Just do a google search for private mail box rentals city name state. Signup for the mail box, get a couple pieces of mail sent to it and then bring your personal records along with the mail from the box and you can get a driver's license legally.

It was in Texas but I dug into the problem and seems the answer is the same all over the country. if you really want to cover all aspects once you get the drivers license get a library card, register to vote, etc. The point is you want to make the address your true legal address. Nothing is stated in the law that says you have to sleep at that location. This issue has actually been pushed in the courts and the legal precedents are on solid footing.

Right, don't have to actually live there. Can use a mail forwarding service to receive mail.
Lots of truckers have done that in Texas, Florida, South Dakota.

Can confirm, from personal experience. Although they didn't make me put my lot # on address portion of my CDL.

I happen to have one for sale. It's a 3-axle 5th wheel toy hauler, empty weight 11k lbs. Anybody who's interested can PM me for the specifics.
