I trained my wife, start to finish. Not even an O/O, just a guy with an opportunity to take a truck home..... worked really well. We don't team, because of the kids, but occasionally tag off; or she'll do the run when I'm illing.

I've been off the road for nearly a decade and have worked at a truck driving school since. I've seen every possible scenario regarding people - and especially husbands training wives. It usually isn't good. Some work out, most do not. Just my .02. For the guys that are patient training their wives -- GOOD on you. Major kudos. That just isn't what is normal in my little part of the world.Chinatown Thanks this. -

As it turned out, the first place I tried hired me pending drug test outcome. That was a lot easier than expected.

This was the answer I was looking for. I have my class A permit and have had it for 2yrs now. School is expensive and I just need the behind the wheel training. But I don’t know anyone personally that is an O/O that I can get can train me. ♀️

No, an 0/0 can't train you. You must attend a cdl school; that's the new regulation. The cowboy days are over.
CDL school is free through the WIOA Program in your state.tscottme Thanks this. -
