Yuuup buddy its Volvo D12 and its bad!!! 4.6 actually good :) There was not many mountains, otherwise it would be 4MPG or less.
I know Freightliners are noise and shaky :) but easy and cheap to maintain!!!
I know Volvos are comfortable and quite but they are sensative and expensive to maintains and repairs!

International Prostars also known good trucks! They come with cummins.

Maybe i should change mind from Volvo to International Prostars since you recommended. I think it's only the Volvo D12 is expensive to maintains and repairs.

leave the volvo alone unless you have plenty of money saved. THey are great trucks nut like others have said they are cry babies. Nothing better than the freightliner and detriot as far as reliability goes

Look for and buy a FLD freightliner. Series 60, 10 speed or 13 speed, 3.55 ratio. It'll be a cheap running, cheap to maintain money maker.
If you hate freightliners, take a look at an International 9200i with a Cummins. Again, it'll be a cheap, easy to maintain money maker

Specially olderones are better than newers. Offcourse without DPF/DEF system.
Century with cummins N14 also good but they stop making them!

Volvo with Cummins are kinda ok but its also not best choise for owner!
Our company full of junky volvos.... specially automatic transmissions are junk!!!

$0.50's fuse can cause you stop and enjoy your volvo

Best advice...but, lets come come back to real life! Now a days drivers are young and
We have immigrant drivers too... most of them are fresh out of school or most of them haven't seen school ever!
And those drivers are kind a moderet and they dont want to drive old trucks! They want to drive never ones.
Also there are bunch of laws and rules coming out everyday, so it makes you affraid of driving older trucks unless if they are not equipped with thing that law required!
    No more old school...
