Now your talking personal preferences, personally I LOVE Freightliner trucks, so if your asking opinions don't start trash talking brand names!! Your not really asking for unbiased opinions, your looking for an answer that makes you happy. Well some people like K-Worths some like Stars some like Pete's, people find what works best for themselves and will make it work well if they like it. I've got CAT and Detroit engines in my three truck fleet all stuffed into Freightliner chassis's and I like them both, they each have there pro's and con's.

It's not really personal preferences but i asked difference between the high HP & low ratio .... or.... Low HP and high ratio. and we start talking about other stuff.. and if you go back to the thread you will see what's going on.

Look into the Ford/Sterling trucks. They're very economical and relatively cheap on maintenance. A really good overall truck. Easy to find them with the N14. There aren't mainy around (probably had 1% of sales in their prime) but if I had to buy another truck, I'd get a Sterling. Without trying I can get 8.8xx MPG (running at 62mph). Had to hammer down @ 70mph scaled @ 76k and still pull off 7.4xx mpg. You can ALWAYS add more HP/TQ so don't worry about that. 3.50's would be a good ratio on a 13 or 18 SPD.

I like your reply sir and I'll make sure to look for sterling. And I didn't know I could add HP/TQ. Well that's a good thing to hear.

    Big_D409 Thanks this.
