Usually those insulated trailers will stay warm for days without heat unless its extremely cold out. When I hauled asphalt we used them. Towards the end of the season when it started to get chilly one could sit overnight loaded and the temp will barely drop. We use the same trailers in the winter to haul #6 oil in them. As far as the in transit heat goes, i had my truck on with Chemical Leaman for a while and refused to hook my trucks coolant system into one of those trailers not knowing what kind of crap was in there.

Yes and (sorry it's been a long time) I believe the stronger acids will stain the inside of even a stainless trailer. A big no no......
So they use a non- stainless trailer with a liner. And the trailer only does acid.geargrinder and realsupatrucka Thank this. -

Do they still send you out to Carmel Indiana to the training terminal for a week or was that just a Chemical Leaman thing? It was 96 when I was with them so im sure they have changed since QC took over.
