Years ago, I was fine by the second night (or the second time to sleep). Now, I can't do it. Neither could my co-driver. We both were wiped out by day 3. The early mornings (4-7 am) were the worst. You just can't trust your life to some other driver who is, really, only a co-worker. Doesn't make sense to me- HOS, speed limits, . . . but I should just lay down and sleep right behind a driver who I should trust to stay awake for 11-14 hours? I know better.
Can Anyone Help me fall asleep while the truck is moving?
