Hi. I am hoping to find a company that will accept a domestic violence charge. In 2008 I grabbed a woman that was slamming a door on my underage daughter. That was all I did was grab her and tell her to stop it. I was charged with unprivileged touching which is a misdemeanor in NH. Is there any company that anyone knows of that will listen to my side? Also, I would like to know if there are any O/O's out there that might give me a shot in a team situation. This is very disheartening. What parent would not do the same thing to protect their child? Any rate any help with names of companies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your advice
Can anyone help?

but many trucking companies take a very dim view on domestic violence..in fact, would that be a charge a spouse or "live-in" would lodge against another..??...sounds like your situation was a "stranger"..???
anyway, if you can get a lawyer's letter short, factual and to the point, and how it was all handled, (ie) jail time, fine, community service, etc,etc..
maybe that will help you, maybe not
you can always try putting an ad yourself on Craig's List asking for a driving job with an o/o......
good luck to youJoe_Bags Thanks this. -
There's really only one way to know for sure, call the recruiters. My guess is that there's some companies out there that'll listen to you and eventurally give you a chance. What you'll get from this board, and others like it, are opinions - including my (this) response.
Call the companies and keep calling until you find some that will listen to your side.
