Just watched part #3 of the 6NZ rebuild. $40 large with no warranty. But very impressed with the overall job. Doesn’t seem like he left anything out, and very detail oriented. Since the platinum kit by cat allows you to pay for it over time, I’ve been told that they suggest you file for a credit value of that much just to be safe and guess what, bingo , they use it all. And I doubt they go to the extent that KT does. One thing I will say is that all the motors that I know have been rebuilt by cat are still running. Some with hundreds of thousands of miles on them. Anyone know where he’s located and the turn around time on the job itself?

Ok thanks everyone. I’d love to hear that motor run. Going thru all that detailed work, it must sound beautiful. Missouri would be a nice road trip. Probably a long day from Long Island.

Nobody does bearing rolls on equipment. Not worth it. Run it till she's worn out, swing a reman and keep digging lol. Can't say I've seen a single bearing roll done in the 6 years I've been at dealerships.
