Can anyone recommend a good NE regional carrier out of central PA?

Read my thread about them, especially my one year review. They aren't a driver mill so they don't have to advertise anything but what they do. If you need any answers after reading the thread just ask.

Give Mort a call in the morning and ask him about it, it's worth the call. They actually work on a case by case situation.

 

do NOT go to kennedy, no predictable miles, your pay will be all over the place at this point in their little game, their equipment WILL break down every month(at least!) and be prepared to slipseat bimonthly when it does break down.


they cheat you out of miles, with a formula that no one can figure out, so they say .40 cpm, but in practical miles it probably works out to .36-37 cpm.

ps, if Atkinson freight lines will take you, go there. Its the last teamster Truckload company i have heard of, and they pay you WELL for all the work you do. you get paid to work the dock if you are required, you get paid 38.2 cpm for all miles, layover pay every night you sleep in the truck, and a bunch of other stuff. I have talked to a few of their drivers before, and if you are going to try kennedy, you might as well get paid for your work and go try atkinson freight.
