I hear ya. Last thing I heard him called was "unemployed". No question I got hella lucky on that one, kinda makes up for all the times I've been hosed somewhere. :biggrin_25523:

Is this a new truck. Was all this work done under warranty, I can tell you food is not an expense from being down you would have to eat anyway. Unless you can have a freightliner dealer say it was the fault of another freightliner dealership (not gonna happen) you dont have a case. Seeing that you continued to operate it knowing the filter was bypassed it will reverse the fault back to you. And any money that you could get you will give it to a lawyer X10

Sounds like somebody that has no business owning a truck. I also doubt you have much of a lawsuit. If you are truly running with your fuel filters bypassed, that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of and OF COURSE your losing injectors! The fuel filter or filters filter out the crud before it can destroy the injector nozzle. At most you have two fuel filters for the engine, if you have a Davco, you might only have one. Your Tripac filter filters the fuel for your Tripac, not the truck engine.

Yea i bet unemployed was the last thing he was called after they had to pay 25k for a new crate motor lol. And i hear you on the getting hosed and that making up for a few times. Spent $2500 on repairs at a shop when i bought my truck and sat for 5 days. Spent another $3500 fixing things that were missed this past month. Whatd i pay $2500 fo a coolant change, oil change, and lube? They were supppsed to rebuild my jake and i dont think they rebuilt that still no brake hp even at 1900rpm and still hangs up on every setting ugh.:violent3:

So you have four fuel filters then for the main engine? Sue em, you just hit the jackpot, you're going to be rich!!! But seriously, you are knowingly driving around with your fuel filter being bypassed, which surprise, surprise, is taking out injectors, and now you want to sue someone? Good luck, you go thru with this and you will only cost yourself more money, take the lesson you have just taught yourself and move on.

You should be a member of OOIDA. They will know exactly what you need to do.
