I'm a newbie aiming to be in the highway soon. I'm trying to see if Prime is the school for me.
Can anyone tell me about Prime.

As highway101 shared, there are a lot of threads on here already and prime and what to expect. Are there specific questions you have after researching this entire forum about prime?
Good luck,

Where ever you start the first year will be tough. Like someone else said do not fall for the lease purchase. Do a good job keep your nose clean and after a year you should be able to move on to bigger and better things.

Apparently if you cut or damage a tire you will be expected to pay for it.
If you get to close to another truck, some sort of engine retarding system will engage and slow you down even more.
All of this was told to me by a friend of mine who walked out on the last day of orientation when all of this was revealed to the class. He went to Schneider and he's still there, making money,,,, food for thought. -
the trucks are set at 62 for company drivers. But you wanted to here about the school right? You go out with a trainer for 3 weeks, they want you to have 120 hours before you come back and do your road test. you will not get that much hands on experience before you even test any were else. I got me cdl with central and they only gave us a week to learn everything needless to say a lot of them did not make it. I wish I would have came to prime first. even tho I did make it, I had to learn lot on my own. Company driver make 42 cpm and that's not bad for starters.

Thinking of that giant robot truck from the transformer's movie.

The only way the truck will slow you down when you get close to another truck is if the cruise control is on and the truck directly in front of you is Gibby slower then what you have cruise set for.
My guess about your friend would be Prime bounced him for some reason because all of this information is given with in the first couple of days. I'm glad your friend found a place that he can be successful at.
Good luck,
RedoctoberHighway101 Thanks this.
