Uhh... I would start out above $500k after the proceeds from the sale of my house, furnishings, shop equipment, 8 vehicles, 2 trailers, and my RV. I wouldn't stop until I had well north of 7 figures in the bank, and I would still have my military retirement and VA Disability compensation coming in every month along with my wife's VA Disability compensation. Technically we could retire now and survive, but we want to live large and travel extensively in retirement, thus we are not quite ready to stop working at 46 and 40, respectively. On my current path, I plan to retire the year my son graduates... so I'll be 59/60 at the time (we started late in that department). If he weren't around? Yeah, I'd have already hopped in the truck full-time 5 years ago and been ready to stop working prior to age 50.
