I do open deck some places to bumper rails in the stake pockets. Then the load me with a forklift. Typically it's roofing that does that. -
Depends. Some places will, some won’t. Had a friend of mine who pulled a hard top curtain van for a company in OR and they hauled loads for Pepsi. Whatever you haul will have to be secured properly on your trailer.
TX2Day, ElmerFudpucker, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't see why not. Anything that can go on a flatbed, and I've seen 20 pallets of freight on a flatbed.
TX2Day Thanks this. -
I see GP loading new, flat cardboard boxes on curtain side's occasionally.
TX2Day Thanks this. -
Thomas and sons and Sprinter, and A&M at least used to haul beer and soda out of SoCal back North in curtain vans. Not sure if TP does or not but as long as you can strap things down I don’t see why you can’t.

As others have eluded to, load securement is all that really matters. When I worked for Roehl Transport I hauled all sorts of different things in both dry van and curtainside trailers. Some things you might more typically see in one trailer versus another but making the load securement work is what matters.
